Planning Placements

I have been officially planning where to place things in the Control Room today:

Poly Confusion

Polyfusion Modulars. These things are really under-rated, aren't they? I don't really know why, as they are systems of the absolute highest quality, made by ex-Moog employees who broke away when Moog was bought out by Norlin - apparently they were dissatisfied with the quality of the Moog systems at that time and decided to do their own 'improved' version - the result was the 2000 series. And there were plenty of high-end supporters who bought into the sound of these things - Steve Porcoro of Toto had several huge systems (see awesome pic below), as did Hanz Zimmer and Vince Clarke. So I don't get the lack of reverence for them. Whats-up with that, its rude

To The Synth Cave

A very nice interview with my very nice friend Alessandro Cortini and his amazing Buchla and EMS gear. And thanks for the name-check in part 2! He is referring to my Buchla 700 album Chimeror which can be found HERE

The Sound Of..

My vinyl copy of Tara's new album arrived today - sounds loverly me dear (I mixed it so it damn well should!)

So Near Sofa

I've been beavering away in the new studio space trying to get the consoles and built-in furniture designed and made. What fun it is especially now the sun is out. Here are some of my vectorised ideas:

The sofa design is inspired by John Lautner's awesome 1961 Sheats Residence

Much more to follow on this subject, obvs
